Arla Foods, a major dairy cooperative in the UK, seeks to install thousands of panels at its Lockerbie creamery.<\/p>\n<p>The project connects the solar array directly to the creamery, making it the sole electricity user. The site spans about 10 hectares and will be surrounded by a security fence and CCTV.<\/p>\n<p>Arla began earlier this year a \u00a390m investment plan for the Lockerbie site, focusing on UHT and lactose-free milk production. The company says the solar farm would aid carbon reduction and energy security.<\/p>\n<h3>Detalhes do projeto<\/h3>\n<p>The proposed solar farm would include about 9,000 panels. It is designed to complement ongoing expansion at the creamery, which supports high-volume milk output and cheddar production.<\/p>\n<p>The Lockerbie facility employs around 242 staff.
